An art exhibit and reception was recently held at UConn Health showcasing the art work of local students.

Schools in the towns of Farmington and West Hartford participated in the Go Red For Women Art Contest. Students in grades kindergarten through fourth grade were asked to artistically express what they thought a healthy and happy heart looks like. At the same time, they were made aware of the risks of heart disease.

The winners were announced at the recently held reception attended by students, parents, teachers, American Heart Association representatives, and UConn Health faculty and staff.

The event was sponsored by the American Heart Association and UConn Health.
