Over the past year, the adoption of UConn’s new visual identity program has served to unify the University’s brand and promote a consistent message of excellence.
The deadline to be brand-compliant is quickly approaching, and the University community is encouraged to finalize the conversion of materials as soon as possible. As of June 30, 2014, the transition to the institution’s new brand should be complete, and all print and electronic materials must be compliant with University standards.
A few reminders:
- When writing or typing UConn, please do so as “UConn,” as opposed to “UCONN.” The all-caps UCONN is reserved for the logo treatment.
- The Husky Dog logo is the official logo of UConn Division I sports teams, and as such is reserved primarily for use on athletic uniforms and retail merchandise. The Husky Pride logos, however, are available for use University-wide, and we encourage you to use them in email signatures to show your UConn spirit.
- Stationery templates for print and electronic use are available through the Kuali System.
- If your website currently links to logos.uconn.edu or the former Brand Standards Manual, please update these links to brand.uconn.edu as soon as possible.
Please visit brand.uconn.edu for standards for print and web, color, and logo usage, as well as downloadable wordmarks, a printable copy of the Brand Standards Manual, and other helpful resources.
As the need arises, please email brand@uconn.edu with any questions, or to ensure that your items are compliant.
