UTC IASE Celebrates Its First Year

A hub for world-class research and project-based learning, the UTC Institute for Advanced Systems Engineering Institute celebrates its first anniversary.

Founded one year ago, the UTC Institute for Advanced Systems Engineering (UTC IASE) has established itself as a hub for world-class research and project-based learning by teams of students around the globe for model-based engineering of complex systems.

The Institute – a collaboration between UConn and the United Technologies Corporation – is marking its one-year anniversary Nov. 10 with an all-day conference featuring speakers and panel discussions.

Speakers will include Mun Choi, Provost and Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs for UConn; Michael McQuade, Senior Vice President for Science & Technology at United Technologies Corporation; and Alberto Sangiovanni-Vincentelli, co-founder of Cadence Design Systems and Synopsys, Inc.
