Of Interest to Entrepreneurial Engineers: Advice on Patents

UConn is sponsoring a daylong event on patents, innovations and how to grow your company.

UConn is one of the sponsors of a daylong event on patents, innovations and how to grow your company.

The event, organized by the U.S. Department of Commerce, U.S. Patent & Trademark Office and International Trade Administration, takes place Feb. 7 at the Hartford Library.

From the event’s announcement:

Connecticut is proud to be a state of brisk innovations and effective ingenuity. Numerous establishments of entrepreneurs and start-up companies have forged Connecticut as a preeminent locality for new ideas and technologies. Connecticut values the efforts of these firms and encourages others to join their ranks. To that effect, the U.S. Patent and Trade-mark Office and partners will offer a comprehensive seminar that deals exclusively with various types of intellectual property, as well as safe-guarding methods to protect your products. This seminar will also deliver valuable information such as patent processing and global intellectual property protection. Having an understanding on how to safeguard your intellectual property will allow your firm to freely innovate, grow, and prosper.
