The University of Connecticut will host a game watch at Gampel Pavilion on Tuesday, April 5 for the NCAA Women’s Basketball Championship game. The event is open to UConn students and all members of the University community.
Admission to the game watch is free, but tickets are required for admission – a change from previous game watches held in the past.
Those interested in attending are encouraged to pick up general admission tickets on Monday, April 4 and Tuesday, April 5 at the UConn Athletic Ticket Office in Storrs between 9 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
After the Monday and Tuesday pick-up times, all remaining ticket inventory will be distributed at the door on game night, until the supply is exhausted, after which no further admissions will be allowed.
The doors to Gampel Pavilion will open at 7:30 p.m., and tip-off for the national final is at approximately 8:30 p.m. UConn advanced to the national final on Sunday with a win over Oregon State in the national semifinals. The Huskies will be playing for their fourth-straight national championship and 11th overall.
Concession stands will be open, and all normal Gampel Pavilion policies will be in effect, including bag search. Backpacks or oversized bags will not be permitted. Purses and tote bags that are smaller than 12″ x 12″ x 6″ will be permitted.
