The art pieces of Katherine Schwartz of Bristol are the culmination of years of observation, training, and experimentation. Schwartz graduated from the University of Connecticut with a degree in Fine Arts emphasizing printmaking with stone lithographs. Her studies continued at Tunxis College, Central Connecticut State University, and San Miguel de Allende, Mexico. Her travels have taker her around the world, giving her a unique perspective on the arts from a wide variety of cultures. Schwartz’s main focus has always been figurative. She enjoys working not only with lines, shapes, and patterns, but hopes to include emotions. Currently, many of her works are collages, as well as the more traditional paint and charcoal. Her goal is to touch the viewer with both an artistic and an emotional piece of art.
