'Philanthropic support is essential to UConn’s continued ascension as a top 20 public university,' says Josh Newton, president and CEO of UConn Foundation.

For the first time in history, UConn Nation is putting all paws in to support the University during a 36-hour online giving event.

UConn Gives will begin on April 4 and continue through April 5, encouraging supporters to make a gift of any amount to their UConn passion project: from student scholarships, to groundbreaking research, and beloved schools, colleges, and academic programs.

“For 36 hours, UConn’s global community will unite in support of a great cause: strengthening the University they love,” says Josh Newton, president and CEO, UConn Foundation. “Philanthropic support is essential to UConn’s continued ascension as a top 20 public university. This is an exciting new way for people to make a difference. When UConn Nation rises as one, there’s nothing we can’t achieve!”

Beginning at 12 a.m., supporters can visit givingday.uconn.edu and make their pledge in support of UConn. Additionally, supporters are encouraged to spread the word with the hashtag #UConnGives on all social media platforms.
