Hard to believe: with the arrival of Thanksgiving break, the fall semester is almost over. When students return on Dec. 2, there will be a sprint to finals, and then the long winter break.

But before then, the present moment offers a chance to stop and reflect on the autumn that’s almost over. Crisp New England mornings; Halloween festivities; the woods around campus blazing gold and crimson; and if the current month ended with temperatures more appropriate to winter and a succession of downpours, well, as the song says, nothing lasts forever, not even cold November rain.

Every season is beautiful at UConn, but fall has a special magic, as these photos from University photographers Sean Flynn and Peter Morenus demonstrate.
