Greetings, UConn Nation.

I want to extend my personal thanks to the many parents, alumni, and friends who have checked in and asked how you can help during the coronavirus (COVID-19) public health crisis. It shows how, as a community, we’re truly in this together.

Our top priorities right now are addressing the needs of students and equipping UConn Health to meet the demands of this rapidly developing situation.

We need your support today for two funds that can help: the Students First Fund and the Fund for UConn Health.

Students First Fund
This fund helps UConn provide items to meet students’ needs following unforeseen circumstances or unanticipated hardships, such as illness, a death in the family, loss of employment, fire, flood, and other misfortunes.

Your gift can help us put every effort behind getting our students home and providing services to students who cannot go home because of resources, travel bans, or other situations.

Fund for UConn Health
The Fund for UConn Health provides discretionary funding to address immediate needs that arise for the patient care, research, and academic programs across UConn Health.

Your gift can help our doctors and nurses, who are on the front line responding to the coronavirus.

Thank you for asking how you can help. Your online gift will make an impact today.

With best wishes for your good health,

Thomas Katsouleas

President, University of Connecticut
