Individuals, Groups, and Families – To learn clinical skills to work towards becoming an LCSW.

What are your plans after graduation?
To work towards LCSW licensure in a mobile crisis job where I will provide emergency mental health intervention and assessment.

What’s one thing that surprised you about UConn School of Social Work?
I was happily surprised that I formed such a close relationship with my cohort!

What’s your favorite thing about the School of Social Work?
The professors are all very kind and caring. They made it a priority to connect with students.

What’s one thing all Social Work students should do during their time at UConn?
Participate in events outside of classes! There are many educational activities outside of classes which also provide a chance to get to better know your peers.

What’s something you learned in a class that you’ll always remember?
“Meet the client where they’re at!”

Any advice for incoming first-year students?
I recommend taking the time to know your peers, professors, and everyone else at the School of Social Work.
