“As a future pharmacist, I look forward to serving as an advocate for my community and other underrepresented populations” Lora commented. “This scholarship will help me attain my goal of pursuing a post-graduate program that will further my personal development and professional growth. I am blessed to be a recipient of this award and am extremely thankful for this honor.”

“Karisse’s commitment to advancing health equity is indicative of her deep understanding that the patients we serve all have unique needs and that everyone should have a fair opportunity to reach their full health potential,” says Chinenye Anyanwu, Pharm.D., Lora’s faculty mentor. “Pharmacists play an important role in removing obstacles that prevent patients from achieving this potential and we look forward to the great work Karisse will do in her community”
