Education and awareness play a significant role in managing diabetes. We’re getting better at recognizing prediabetes, which can change the patient’s trajectory, prolonging or even avoiding the onset of type 2 diabetes. But when the diagnosis is made, UConn Health’s Diabetes Self-Management Education Program can have a major impact on the patient’s life.
