A group from UConn Health went on a medical service trip to the Dominican Republic where they provided much needed care to an impoverished rural community outside of Santo Domingo. The trip was spearheaded by medical student Corbinian Wanner ’25 MPH/MD, who has been organizing service trips to the country since his days as an undergrad at Storrs.

Along with providers from the Dominican Medical Association of New York City, the group treated three thousand patients over the course of three days.
