Dr. Adrian V. Hernandez, associate professor of comparative effectiveness and outcomes research in the School of Pharmacy Department of Pharmacy Practice, has been appointed to the board of the recently formed Cochrane Heart, Stroke, and Circulation Thematic group within the Cochrane Collaboration.
Rian Salvage, the superintendent of the Water Resource Recovery Facility, was named the 2024 EPA Regional Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator of the Year. The EPA Regional Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator of the Year Award was established to recognize and honor the employees of publicly owned wastewater treatment plants for their commitment to improving water quality with outstanding plant operations and maintenance.
Anna Tarakanova, assistant professor of mechanical engineering and biomedical engineering, was named the 2024 Eshelby Mechanics Award for Young Faculty by the American Society of Mechanical Engineers. The award recognizes early-career researchers who’ve made impactful contributions to the field of mechanics and mechanics of materials.
