Professor Sir Cato T. Laurencin, MD, Ph.D., K.C.S.L received the highest honor of the American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists – the Distinguished Pharmaceutical Scientist Award – at its recent annual meeting. The award is a lifetime achievement honor that recognizes an individual who has made extraordinary contributions to the pharmaceutical sciences with a lasting impact.

John O’Leary, an employee in the Office of the Bursar, has been selected to present his research detailing the story about the survival of a World War II-era Mercedes-Benz at the American Historical Association Conference this January in Chicago.

Joan Sandstrom, 94, of Boothbay, Maine, a retired secretary to the chairman of Department of Psychiatry at UConn Health, on Nov. 30.

Tom Weston, 68, of Coventry, Conn., and Crystal River, Fla., a retired 40-year employee of the Division of Athletics who was the Team Travel Manager, on Nov. 27.
