The UConn School of Dental Medicine celebrated another year of outstanding match results with an overwhelming majority of students in the class of 2020 placing in their top choice residency program.
“This is yet again an outstanding result for the match,” said interim dean Dr. Steven Lepowsky at a celebration on Wednesday evening. “What happened today and during the phase one of the match is a testimony on how incredibly talented and gifted our students are. This school is only as good as our students, so on behalf of the School of Dental Medicine, I want to thank the class of 2020 for continuing the path of excellence.”
“I am very proud of this class,” said Dr. Donna Paolella, associate dean for admissions. “ They are a very special group of students.”
For the class of 2020, twenty-six students will be pursuing postdoctoral general dentistry residency training.
