The School of Engineering is beginning the selection process for 2015 inductees to the Academy of Distinguished Engineers, the 32nd year the School has presented these awards
Since 1983 the School has paid special tribute to exceptionally distinguished alumni whose career achievements are of an enduring seminal nature, and dedicated individuals who have made dramatic and enduring contributions to our School. The top nominees in each category are honored formally in the spring and are inducted into the Academy of Distinguished Engineers. Please assist us in identifying superb nominees; self-nominations are also welcome. The School of Engineering Distinguished Awards Selection Committee will review each nomination with care and serious consideration. You may access the nomination packet here.
To nominate a candidate, please:
- Send a brief e-mail to soeaward@engr.uconn.edu by Thursday, October 30, 2014 indicating your intent to nominate or self-nominate, along with the name(s) of your nominee(s).
- Complete the nomination form and submit it, along with any additional material such as a resume, by e-mail to soeaward@engr.uconn.edu.
All nominations must be received no later than Monday, November 17, 2014.
A celebratory awards dinner, during which each recipient will be formally honored by the Dean and University administration, will take place on Thursday, April 30, 2015.
