Matthew T. Berrelli (B.S. Mechanical Engineering, ‘85) P.E., was appointed the East Coast Sales Engineer for Ronstan Tensile Architecture. Operating from the company’s Providence, RI office, he will be responsible for the business development of Ronstan’s tensile architectural products, and will serve as a top engineering consultant for the company. Before joining Ronstan, he held a senior position at Shorey Manufacturing.

Jim Smith (B.S. Computer Engineering, ’85) is a State Police Sgt. Associated with the Department of Public Safety’s Computer Crime and Electronic Evidence Laboratory. He has worked with the State Police for 14 years and helped establish the Computer Crime Unit. He has conducted numerous computer crime investigations, many dealing with crimes against children.

Jennifer Usher (B.S. Civil Engineering, ’00), PE, joined the town of Tolland, CT as Town Engineer/Public Works Administrator in May ‘10. She previously was employed with BL Companies and Lenard Engineering, Inc. as a project manager, designing and permitting infrastructure and development projects. In her current role, Ms. Usher’s responsibilities include providing design, permitting and construction assistance for town projects. She also is involved in reviewing municipal and private development plans, providing engineering assistance for capital projects, as well as inspecting private and municipal projects.
