UConn Health has reached a new multi-year agreement with Cigna following months of constructive negotiations. The agreement recognizes the quality and value of care UConn Health provides to its patients and the people of Connecticut.

There will be no interruption in coverage, and Cigna members can continue to see their trusted UConn Health providers and seek care at John Dempsey Hospital, as they normally would.

Patients whose appointments were previously affected are encouraged to contact their provider’s office to reschedule, and every effort will be made to accommodate them as quickly as possible.

“This agreement provides fair reimbursement which ensures continued access to high-quality, academic medicine for the patients we serve,” said Dr. Andrew Agwunobi, CEO of UConn Health. “It reflects our shared commitment to delivering exceptional care and reinforces our mission to serve the people of Connecticut.”

For more information, patients and community members may visit UConn Health’s website or contact their provider directly.
