During a one-week residential summer program at the Storrs campus, high school juniors and seniors from five different states participated in the Explore Engineering E2 Program. (Justine Braisted '13 SFA/UConn Photo)The students explored engineering careers by working in small groups where they were mentored by UConn engineering faculty and students. (Justine Braisted '13 SFA/UConn Photo)Students learned to work cooperatively and resolve design differences. Finished projects included ‘smart’ vehicles made with Legos, rudimentary EKG machines, bridges, basic fuel cells, and other energy-efficient devices.
