More than 200 students attended the kickoff for UConn’s sixth annual Innovation Quest (iQ), hoping their dreams of creating a new business will come to fruition. The iQ program offers advice, encouragement and mentoring from experts in business incubation and strategy.

The case challenge centered around the future of tech giant Apple Inc. and whether the company should invest money in improvements to its existing products, such as Apple Watches or AppleTV, or expand into a completely new field, for instance developing an Apple Car.

2017 ‘Leadership Legacy’ Students

Two business undergraduate students have been honored as among the University's most promising. Kavisha Thakkar is planning a career as a physician, but is also pursuing a dual degree in accounting, so that she can better understand the healthcare-payment system and assist her future patients. Jeffrey Noonan, a finance major, has secured a summer internship with Bain & Co., one of the world's top management strategy consulting firms.
