New Scholarship Honors Top K-12 Inventors
The University of Connecticut School of Engineering and the Connecticut Invention Convention have teamed up to launch a new scholarship initiative that will sponsor 25 lucky students as they take courses through UConn’s Early College Experience (ECE).

GK-12 Egg Drops Excite Tech H.S. Freshmen
Freshmen in the Cheney Technical High School CADD shop used common household items to design and build devices that would protect uncooked eggs from breaking during drops from varying heights. Led by UConn NSF GK-12 Fellow Neil Spinner, students were introduced to concepts of science and engineering in a fun and engaging way.

Entrepreneurs, Take Note: Competition to Award $25k Top Prize
The Connecticut Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation (CCEI) at UConn has announced the third annual university-wide business plan competition, open to all UConn students. The competition will award a total of $50,000 in prize money to the top three teams or individuals for exceptional business plans.
