UConn Art & Art History stands in solidarity with the upcoming Art+Feminism Wiki Edit-a-thon. The disparity between males and females participating in media is shocking. Alarming statistics, such as less than 10% of Wikipedia contributors identify as female, show us that we must continue the struggle to have our voices and contributions heard.

Let’s do this together! Collective action is a core principle of feminism, so come edit together with us! Attend the Art+Fem Wiki event to edit in all the voices that should never have been silenced in the first place.

UConn’s Art+Feminism Wiki Edit-a-thon will take place on March 27th from 12:30-4:30pm in the Homer Babbidge Library in room CL2 on the second floor. Stop by at your leisure! Visitors can check in at the info kiosk for a parking permit. Specific Art History classes will be contributing but everyone and anyone is welcome to attend — people of all ages, gender identities, and expressions. Be sure to bring your appetite (pizza will be served!), laptop, power cord, and ideas for entries that need updating or creation. For the editing-averse, stop by just to show your support!
