Dick Vining ’51 (ED), assistant baseball coach at the C.W. Post campus of Long Island University, began his 57th year of college baseball coaching and teaching at the campus.

Edward J. Fisher ’56 (ENG) is the author ofLands of In-KO-8 Trilogy, his sixth book, published by Xlibris Corp. in July.

Peter R. van Dernoot ’57 (BUS) is the founder, chairman and executive director of The Children’s Treehouse Foundation, a nonprofit organization that provides psychosocial intervention training and programming to improve the emotional health of children whose parents have cancer. The organization’s program, Children’s Lives Include Moments of Bravery (CLIMB), is offered free of charge at more than 50 cancer centers in the U.S. and three international sites.

Robert C. Darling ’58 (BUS) is retired and living in South Carolina, spending his summers in Cape Cod, Mass.
