UConn began its four-year engineering program in 1916. From a modest beginning supporting agriculture, it has evolved into a superb program distinguished by an outstanding faculty, state-of-the-art facilities—with more on the way—and the most academically accomplished students in UConn history.

In keeping with UConn’s mission as a land-grant university, the School of Engineering has rededicated itself to helping people live better lives and to helping business and industry flourish. We are committed to keeping Connecticut enterprises competitive by providing well-trained, problem solving engineers and cutting-edge research.
