2019 Best Doctors Named by Connecticut Magazine

Connecticut Magazine’s June 2019 Best Doctors issue lists 48 physicians from across UConn Health. The listing is generated from The Best Doctors in America 2019 database, where doctors can recognize other doctors as the best in their fields.

Dr. Omar Ibrahim, director of thoracic oncology and interventional pulmonology at UConn Health, is pictured on the magazine’s cover with a feature article about the innovative robotic tool he uses for diagnosing lung cancer early.

In addition, the work of UConn School of Medicine and Connecticut Children Medical Center’s Dr. David Weinstein is featured for his groundbreaking clinical trial at UConn John Dempsey Hospital testing the world’s-first gene therapy for glycogen storage disease (GSD), and the Department of Pediatrics’ Dr. Emily Germain-Lee, also of Connecticut Children’s, is honored for her research investigations into rare pediatric bone disorders.
