The UConn Health Center kicked off American Heart Month by painting the Health Center red. On Friday, Feb. 1, the Health Center celebrated the American Heart Association’s National Wear Red Day® to raise awareness of women’s heart health. Although heart disease affects both men and women, it still is the leading cause of death of women over the age of 25.

The Health Center community was encouraged to wear red and to submit a photo showing their department’s spirit and support.
