The members of the Class of 2023 arrived at UConn as part of a diverse and academically accomplished cohort, determined to make their mark on the state’s flagship public university.
They did that and more, navigating the challenges of an unprecedented global pandemic while setting new standards in sustainability, entrepreneurship, activism, and student scholarship. And, on their way to their next adventure, they got to celebrate the first NCAA men’s basketball national championship in nearly a decade.
That winning spirit will accompany them as graduates of the University of Connecticut, wherever they go. And whatever they do, their professors, mentors, peers, and friends will be watching with pride.
Congratulations, Class of 2023 – from Avery Point, from Farmington, from Hartford, from Stamford, from Storrs, from Waterbury, and from all over the state, the nation, and the world. Soon you’ll no longer be Students Today, but you’ll always be Huskies Forever!

Three Generations of Huskies
The Syme Family reflects on three generations of UConn College of Agriculture, Health & Natural Resources graduates dating back to 1968. From all taking classes in the same building, to father (William) and daughter (Emily) majoring both majoring in Sustainable Plant and Soil Systems, Rosemarie Syme says it best, “we all walked different paths, but we all came out doing really well.”
A Year in Review
From campus beauty to a National Championship title, welcoming in new Huskies to creating core memories, it’s been another amazing year at the University of Connecticut!
